saturdayyyyyyyy

i got an email from my grandpa today. that was delightful. the man is so cute. what's weird is that he's never owned a computer before, in fact, he doesnt even know how to type, and why should he? he never had to. but that's just so weird. it's amazing to think about the things that my generation has grown up with and taken advantage of. even my parents generation had a lot of things that my grandparents just never experienced. yeah, they could have picked things up as they came along, and they did with the things that came along earilier in their lives, but my grandparents were the type of old people to just keep life familiar and live in a sort of "old fashioned" way. it's just interesting to think about how much life and everything else has changed with time.

okay, so, last night i went to Daniel's chamber choir concert. it was really good and he did a wonderful wonderful job on his solos! yay! but yeah, the concert was up in St. Anthony's Seminary Chapel. now, i'm not entirely sure what St.Anthony's is, though i know it's atleast a middleschool and maybe a seminary as well. but yeah, the point is, it's beautiful. gorgeous. it's up on a hill in a nice, slightly older part of town in downtown santa barbara. and by nice part of town, i mean nice fancy neighborhood with big rich houses. but they're all so beautiful and everything is so green. and St. Anthony's itself just makes me so happy. i'm a sucker for big castle-esque catholic architecture. (i dont think i've ever written that word before and am pretty sure i just mis-spelled it, my appologies) right, the point of this story is that i was happy last night, to be somewhere beautiful, listen to amazing music, and see the stars. oh, and singing and going over speed bumps in erin's car always makes any adventure ten times more wonderful.

when we got home we watched Amelie. wait, let me rephrase. when we got home we all started watching Amelie, i was the only one capable of staying awake through the whole movie. you people may laugh at how often i sleep, but all that regular sleeping enables me to stay awake when i need to, so ha! right, but that movie is wonderful, and it makes me happy. plus it's in french, and well, i like french, and i like that i can understand what they're saying (some of the time.)

as much as i dont want to, i have to go. it's another one of those beautiful saturdays where i just want to be out having fun and laughing. but alas, i have to stay inside and type a lab report. eeek! finals are in a week! but yay! that means i'll be home in 11 days. oh joyful joyousness. i'm excited! okay, on to that lab report...
