what is going on?

Today was full of experiences and sensations.
Standing and singing with the ward choir and being filled with a beautiful spirit of peace. Sitting in a room with ten other people and feeling oddly alone. Talking about the authority of God and thinking of all the good and bad examples of priesthood holders I know, dwelling on the good ones. Peeling an orange with my fingers. Smelling that aroma that lingered on my fingertips long after the orange was eaten. Wandering barefoot on cool grass, pointy stone pathways, or soft dirt. Feeling too nervous to stay around people.

Sitting here wondering what is wrong with me.

"you came up with the breeze on sunday morning"

Yesterday I played with Jamie in the magical (slightly terrifying) town of Solvang. I purchased a sweet green cowboy hat and some delicious ice cream. We watched people folk dance and smiled at the little old people everywhere that were so happy. For an adventure, I convinced Jamie to drive home the back way. Now we know where the Chumash Casino is, so I feel like my life is complete. 154 was lovely, we pulled off at a Vista Point and enjoyed the view. That road and those hills make me think of Nathaniel and his insane biking adventures.

At Jason's, in celebration of his 19th birthday, we ate pizza and talked a lot. I made amends, enjoyed the company of friends, and tasted a Durian Fruit which was rather interesting and apparently cost $51. The outside looks like a porcupine and smells like rotting melon. The actual fruit inside tastes like mango, then onion. I really can't explain it. Apparently it's very high in protein.

My night ended early, at about 10pm when I fell asleep reading on the floor. I moved onto the futon where I slept for about an hour before finally climbing into bed. Not sure why, exactly.

Now it's Sunday morning, I'm about to head off to church. I called my dad and wished him a Happy Father's Day. Did you?
